Weston Finalizes 3A Zoning Documents Ahead of October 15 Town Meeting Vote

WESTON — September 26, 2025 — Weston's MBTA 3A working group declared its zoning bylaw and Boston Properties development agreement ready to print ahead of an October 15 town meeting vote. Select Board Chair Lisa Revers and town planner Emai Aiyu confirmed both documents were finalized at the September 26 joint meeting of the Select Board and Planning Board, clearing a path to distribute materials to residents. The revised development agreement replaces a five-building commercial cap from a 2008 agreement with a three-building limit — the existing 350,000-square-foot office building and two parking garages — and explicitly removes references to two northerly lots, including one near Duck Pond, where earlier plans had contemplated additional construction. A site walk at the Boston Properties site is set for September 30, and the group agreed to conduct a full dry run of the town meeting presentation, targeting 15 to 20 minutes, at its next Thursday session. Town Manager Leon Gamond said he has a direct contact at Maplewood senior living and will help arrange a resident information session after concerns surfaced that Maplewood residents fear displacement under the plan.
