Weston 3A Working Group Targets Late September for Final Zoning Bylaw Draft

WESTON — September 4, 2025 — Weston's MBTA 3A working group pushed toward a late-September deadline for its zoning bylaw and Boston Properties development agreement ahead of an October town meeting. The joint Select Board and Planning Board group, chaired by Select Board Chair Lisa Revers and including Planning Board members Al Addalot and Alex Selvig and Select Board member John McDonald, agreed Thursday that the zoning bylaw is nearly complete, with one unresolved question about how to format a buildable-area density table to be settled after Town Planner Emai Iou meets with EOHLC and town counsel the following Monday. Town Manager Leon Gaumond said a statement on noncompliance penalties — including potential loss of state grants and daily civil fines after a January 1, 2026, Attorney General enforcement date — would be posted to the town website shortly. Addalot said he plans two public site walks at the 133 Boston Post Road parcel on the mornings of September 22 and September 29, to be recorded by Weston Media Center. Selvig warned that residents unfamiliar with the months-long process could still vote down the plan at town meeting, saying "I could see a lot of people showing up just to say no to this again."
