Weston 3A Working Group Targets October Town Meeting, Moves to Hire Consultant

WESTON — May 22, 2025 — Weston's joint 3A working group pressed forward on a revised MBTA Communities Act compliance plan, targeting a special town meeting as early as October 6. Select Board Chair Lisa Revers and Planning Board Chair Leslie Glynn led a May 22 session that covered a prospective RFP for a land-use consultant — with Sasaki Associates, the G2 Collaborative, and Concord Land Design and Engineering identified as candidate firms — and site-by-site updates on negotiations with Boston Properties and Mill Creek, the developer of the 40B project at 751 Boston Post Road. Town Manager Leon Gaumond said contracts under $50,000 can be procured by direct quote, potentially speeding the consultant search. A neighborhood meeting on the 751 rezoning is set for May 28 at 5 p.m. on Zoom, and a public meeting on the Merriam Village proposal is scheduled for June 2 at 5 p.m. The attorney general's office has filed a brief supporting its own motion to dismiss the town's 3A lawsuit, which remains pending before a judge.
