Kendal Common committee approves website revisions, sets September neighborhood meeting

WESTON — May 18, 2023 — Weston's Kendal Common Historic District Study Committee set a late-September target for its first neighborhood meeting. At the May 18 remote session, members revised a draft resident letter — softening the planned meeting's purpose to "describe the process" and "receive input" — and directed staff to retitle the committee's webpage, surface buried sidebar links, and fix a stretched lead photograph. Member David Bois agreed to reorder a one-page bibliography so the Museum of Modern Art catalog and Leslie Jackson and Deborah Dietsch surveys come first, telling colleagues, "I just think psychologically it's good to start out with something manageable." Member Rick Bois reported that 45 Kendal Common Road and the former John Fisk house are no longer believed threatened with demolition. The committee unanimously approved three sets of prior minutes and set its next meeting for June 22 at 9:30 a.m.
