Weston conservation board approves Chestnut Street project and reclassifies protected wetland area. The Conservation Commission on August 4 unanimously approved an Order of Conditions for 38 Chestnut Street involving a first-floor addition, garage, septic system, and stormwater improvements within a wetland buffer zone, increasing impervious area by 600 square feet. The Commission also issued an Order of Resource Area Delineation for 300 Wellesley Street confirming an Isolated Vegetated Wetland but declining vernal pool habitat status, with spring monitoring showing the area dried completely by May and failed to meet the two-month minimum hydroperiod requirement.
Planning Board Chair Leslie Glynn presented the 2026 Housing Production Plan update, showing Weston has achieved 8.5 percent of its housing stock as affordable, up from less than 2 percent in 2015.
