Weston Conservation Commission backs open space acquisition

Weston Conservation Commission unanimously backs open space acquisition. The Commission requested Community Preservation Committee funding for an appraisal of 819 Boston Post Road, a 1.92-acre parcel contiguous with existing conservation land featuring an approximately 1-acre open meadow historically used for agriculture. If acquired, the property would be managed by the Commission.
The body also unanimously authorized the town Department of Public Works to breach a beaver dam at 48 Brook Road that has caused flooding and submerged a town drainage outfall.
