Weston Select Board defers water tank, 3A votes until after Nov. 14 forum

WESTON — November 12, 2024 — Weston Select Board defers positions on water tank, 3A and Hobbs Brook articles until after Nov. 14 forum. In a Select Board Rewind video, Town Manager Leon Gaumond said the Nov. 12 meeting held positions on three water tank articles, the Zero Hobbs Brook conveyance and the MBTA Communities Section 3A zoning article pending a public water tank funding forum. The board did approve a Brothers Marketplace change-of-ownership and change-of-stock on its beer-and-wine license after Roche Bros. representatives appeared at a required public hearing, signed off on an emergency access road improvement at the rear of Woodland School, and voted to support an ADU bylaw amendment and a Unified Planning Committee funding request. A consent agenda carried three Community Preservation Committee articles and amendments to the Fire Department permit fee schedule. Gaumond said the board directed him to build a "level service" fiscal 2026 budget. The Special Town Meeting is set for Dec. 3 at Weston High School; the voter registration deadline is Nov. 22.
