Weston boards vote to submit updated housing plan to state

Select Board Rewind · Meeting of August 11, 2026

Weston's Select Board and Planning Board vote unanimously to submit an updated Housing Production Plan to the state. Town Manager Leon Goeman said the joint boards worked through "a lot of discussion, a lot of questions about the process, the plan," before approving the draft as written for submission to the Commonwealth, with possible amendments to follow in a month or two. The board also reviewed a Riverside Housing RFP tied to up to 20 units authorized near the former Liberty Mutual building, calling itself "agreeable to the RFP" without a formal vote.

Separately, the board approved changes to the town manager's evaluation form and declined to restrict home delivery of cannabis products following a recent state law change, saying it is "agreeable with the law change."
