Weston Select Board Authorizes Negotiations to Sell Case Building Properties
WESTON -- May 1, 2026, Weston Select Board advances Case Building sale negotiations and backs remote town meeting pilot. At the April 29 meeting, the board voted to enter formal negotiations with preferred bidders for the Case Building properties, which are expected to be redeveloped as single-family homes, and separately voted to support a state budget amendment that would create a pilot program for remote participation in open town meeting. The board also received a water tank project update, with Town Manager Leon Gaumond announcing the Massachusetts Environmental Policy Act review has concluded successfully and the land-swap arrangement now moves to the state legislature. The meeting served as the final regular session for outgoing member Tom Palmer, whose three-year term expires at the conclusion of town meeting.
