Weston Affordable Housing Trust approves tree work, recruiting ads. The Trust unanimously approved an additional $600 allocation for tree maintenance on Warren Avenue due to increased contractor estimates. The board also approved $600 in spending for four weeks of advertising in the Weston Observer to recruit new board members.
Development Director Tricia Casey of Habitat for Humanity briefed trustees on multiple initiatives including a Celebrate Weston event in May, a "Bagels and Building" gathering in April at Weston Library, and an upcoming panel featuring Harvard professor Alexander Von Hoffman on historical land use and affordable housing. Habitat has significantly increased fundraising and is planning spring land-clearing work.
