Trust advances home repair grants for deed-restricted owners

WESTON — Housing Trust advances home repair grant program for homeowners. Chair Thomas Timko presided over the April 8 meeting at which the Trust examined Weston's Subsidized Housing Inventory, which includes 340 units representing 8.5 percent of the town's 3,999 year-round homes, below the state's 10 percent goal. The Trust reviewed a home repair grants program for deed-restricted owners that has won Finance Committee support and heads to Town Meeting for a May 4 vote.
The Trust also unanimously approved a 1/8-page Weston Observer advertisement for an April 29 Bagels & Builds event featuring Habitat for Humanity.
