Select Board approves Case Estate property sale

Weston Select Board approves sale of three historic Case Estate buildings. Chair John F. McDonald noted the purchase price exceeded expectations and will bring three single-family residents and tax revenue to the town; the transaction ends a longstanding liability.
The board unanimously approved Purchase and Sale Agreements for 131, 133, and 135 Wellesley Street after negotiations between town counsel and the buyers' attorneys. In other business, the board unanimously authorized the Town Green Planting Project Phase 1 for a $30,000 landscape-architect contract and supported the Josiah Smith Tavern's parking variance application to the Zoning Board of Appeals.
