WESTON — Board of Health holds hearing on Glen Road housing and nuisance order. The board heard testimony from Dr. James Rippe regarding brush and yard waste piles at 475 Glen Road, where Public Health Director Kelly Pawluczonek had issued a cleanup order.
Dr. Rippe agreed to remove larger stick and brush piles by June 8 or 9, with a property walk scheduled for late May. The board also reviewed the Josiah Smith Tavern project, a planned 175-seat restaurant with a 49-seat function hall, whose septic system is designed to accommodate the expected occupancy.
Public Health Nurse Rachel Olivera reported 17 flu cases in April and ongoing cases of anaplasmosis, campylobacter, and salmonella.
