Weston ZBA continues 7 French Road amendment, approves two other special permits

WESTON — July 22, 2021 — Weston ZBA continues 7 French Road amendment, clears two other special permits. Acting Chair Alan Rose, with members Sujit Suttoli and Natalie Sawyer, voted 3-0 on July 22 to continue Edwin Gah's request to amend a 2018 special permit — adding 580 square feet above the garage and shifting the house four and a half feet for a redesigned septic — until Aug. 17, pending a retaining-wall detail for abutter Felipe Ocampo of 39 Lexington Street and a Conservation Commission determination letter. Andrea Pantanato of the Agnello family at 11 French Road told the board the shift would worsen chronic drainage on the cul-de-sac: "When there's big rains, there's big puddles." The board, with Winifred Lee as acting chair, then voted 3-0 to grant Frederick Camerado a special permit at 256 South Avenue to convert space above a 1984 garage into a study, bedroom and bathroom, conditioned on flipping the enclosed stair to the street side and dropping a proposed slab extension. A third 3-0 vote granted Zach Burnett a special permit at 416 Conant Road to demolish a roughly 1,300-square-foot house and build a more conforming replacement, subject to a stamped RGFA calculation.
