Weston ZBA Closes Anza Appeal as Town Drops Enforcement Order
WESTON — October 17, 2022 — Weston ZBA closes North Avenue enforcement dispute after town declares matter moot. The Zoning Board of Appeals voted 3-0 to adjourn its October 17 hearing on a commercial special permit and building-inspector appeal filed by James Anza for 10 North Avenue after town representative John Field sent an email the afternoon of the meeting stating that Anza had agreed to observe general-bylaw construction hours and that the underlying enforcement order was therefore resolved. Chair Alan Rose, joined by members Stephen LaRock and Natalie Sawyer, determined no board vote on the appeal itself was necessary, as the town had withdrawn from its enforcement position and Anza's attorney, identified only as Nicole, withdrew the appeal on the record. Anza retains a special permit covering the storage of equipment and activities at the Map 19, Parcel 33 property.
