Weston ZBA approves special permit for nonconforming addition at 78 Tyler Road

WESTON — April 4, 2023 — Weston ZBA unanimously approves special permit for addition at 78 Tyler Road. The three-member Zoning Board of Appeals voted 3-0 at its April 4 Zoom meeting to grant applicant Brendan Collins a special permit for an addition to his nonconforming property, finding the project "no more detrimental to the neighborhood than the existing non-conforming use." The sole outstanding issue from the board's March 21 session — Board of Health approval of a Title V septic inspection — was resolved after Collins expedited the inspection and the Board of Health responded within 90 minutes of receiving paperwork. Chair Jane Carlson and members Wendy Kaplan-Armor and Laura Mintz all voted in favor. Collins must now wait for the board's written decision to be filed and a 20-day appeal period to expire before he can apply for a building permit.
