WESTON — April 5, 2023 — Weston Planning Board kills Hemlock Road subdivision in unanimous vote, recommends North Avenue height variance 4-1. The board voted 5-0 on April 5 to deny waivers for a proposed subdivision at Zero Hemlock Road after the Conservation Commission unanimously rejected the same waivers earlier that day, with Chair Leslie Glynn saying the commission's unequivocal stance was "very telling." In a separate 4-1 vote, the board recommended approval of a height-variance amendment for a house at 506 North Avenue — built approximately 14 inches over the allowable limit due to a CAD plan error — conditioned on an expanded landscaping screen of 11 trees at minimum 12 to 14 feet along the North Avenue frontage; Vice Chair Alex Selvig dissented, warning against setting a precedent for builder errors.
