Weston ZBA approves 99 Love Lane garage special permit, 3-0

WESTON — September 23, 2021 — Weston ZBA unanimously approves special permit for 99 Love Lane garage addition on a triangular lot. The board voted 3-0 Sept. 23 to let Tyler and Lauren Burns build an addition with an attached garage after architect Richard Pignataro of Pauli and Uribe Architects returned with revised plans shrinking the garage depth by two feet, increasing the side-setback distance from nine to 11 feet. Chair Jane Carlson and members Steve LaRock and Alan Rose said the lot's shape and Historical Commission preferences left no better option short of a teardown. "I'm satisfied that it's not substantially more detrimental than the existing conditions, although I will say I think it's a very close call," Rose said. LaRock, normally "hawkish" on setback nonconformities, said letters from abutters "alleviated" his concerns.
