Weston Select Board forwards Weston Provisions beer and wine license to state

WESTON — September 24, 2024 — Weston Select Board clears Weston Provisions liquor license and fills two volunteer seats. At the Sept. 24 meeting held at the Weston Public Library, the board voted to forward a wine-and-malt license for Weston Provisions to the state Alcoholic Beverages Control Commission after what Town Manager Leon Gaumond called "considerable discussion." Andrew Gallo was appointed to the Cable Advisory Committee and Jana Bhargava to the Cultural Council. The board also took up a Sunset Road paving-moratorium waiver tied to home construction, with Gaumond warning that such requests put the town in "a very difficult position." Members previewed MBTA Communities 3A and accessory dwelling unit bylaws bound for the Dec. 3 Fall Town Meeting, and Gaumond noted a Sept. 19 special meeting approved water rate changes averaging a 10 percent increase, varying by meter size.
