Weston Select Board disbands Town Government Study Committee, reorganizes under Revers

WESTON — May 13, 2025 — Weston's newly expanded Select Board reorganized, borrowed $450,000, and voted to end its Town Government Study Committee at the May 13 meeting. Town Manager Leon Gaumond recapped the session in a Select Board Rewind video, noting that Lise N. Revers was chosen as chair and newly elected John F. McDonald was designated clerk after outgoing chair Tom Palmer led the reorganization vote. The board voted by majority — not unanimously — to disband the Town Government Study Committee, which had been examining municipal operations. It also authorized up to $450,000 in no-interest MWRA borrowing for a town meeting-approved water project, appointed two candidates to the Riverside Working Group, denied a road opening waiver request, and opened discussions on the sale of three Case Estates properties on Wellesley Street, with Gaumond indicating the town will revise its RFP and may hire a real estate broker.
