Weston Select Board approves 2025-2026 priorities, issues dog restraint order

WESTON — June 5, 2025 — Weston Select Board approves annual priorities list with MBTA compliance at the top. At the June 3 regular meeting, the board voted to adopt its 2025-2026 projects and priorities, ranking MBTA 3A Communities Act compliance, the fire station project, and the water tank replacement as high priorities, while placing remote town meeting voting and an investment policy amendment in the low tier. The board also voted to classify a dog as a nuisance animal and issued a formal restraint order to its owners. Chair Lise N. Revers proposed amending the board's appointment policy, and Member John F. McDonald raised the possibility of reviving the Alternative Voting Exploratory Committee to pursue special legislation for at-home town meeting voting; both items were continued. The Casey Estates resale and securing a restaurant tenant at the Josiah Smith Tavern within 12 months were designated high-priority items.
