Weston Planning Board Tours Boston Properties Site for 3A Housing Development

WESTON — September 30, 2025 — Weston Planning Board member leads site walk of proposed three-phase MBTA Communities housing development. Planning Board member Al Adelot guided residents and officials through the Boston Properties site near Kendall Green on September 30, walking attendees through three planned phases: roughly 100 for-sale townhouses around the quarry pond, a rental apartment block with an estimated price of about $4 per square foot per year, and a longer-term senior housing phase to replace the existing office building in 20 to 30 years. Boston Properties representative Keir Evans estimated townhomes would sell for roughly $1.5 million each. Each phase will include affordable units, Adelot said, in an arrangement similar to Highland Meadows but not governed by Chapter 40B rules. The development agreement, which includes a daycare center limited to 50 children, community gathering space, and potential restaurant and retail uses, has been posted to the town website ahead of a town meeting vote.
