Weston Agricultural Commission schedules March 2 virtual honeybee event

WESTON — February 15, 2022 — Weston Agricultural Commission sets March 2 virtual honeybee event with Drumlin Farm beekeeper. The commission, meeting February 15 online, finalized plans to host Mel Gadd — identified as beekeeper of the year in 2017 and affiliated with the Drumlin Farm Beekeeper Program — for a 6 p.m. public presentation on setting up a backyard beekeeping operation and native wild pollinator stewardship. Commission chair Avery Chaplin agreed to handle outreach to the Weston Town Crier, town website, and the weston.org community listserv, while a member identified as Lisa volunteered to manage Facebook posts. The commission also flagged that past meeting recordings had not been appearing on the Weston Media Center channel and said a full playlist would be uploaded before the March 2 event.
