Weston Tree Advisory Group discusses Route 30 tree removal. Members Barbara Fullerton and Nina Danforth reported to the group that a Route 30 shared use path project approaching 75 percent design would eliminate 360 trees, approximately 70 percent in fair-to-good condition and 30 percent dead or in poor condition. The group also discussed a Silver Hill Road tree removal proposal reviewed by the Planning Board, with Carol Lee recommending arborists include pruning options in risk assessments.
The committee determined to manage community feedback internally on a planned Town Green project and will defer Parkway Tree Management Plan work to fall 2026.
