Select Board fills committee vacancies, directs Concord Road paving

Select Board · Meeting of July 28, 2026

Weston Select Board fills committee posts, addresses DPW staffing crisis and Concord Road repairs. The board unanimously reappointed Jim Polando to the Permanent Building Committee and reappointed Alex Cobb to the Recreation Master Plan Steering Committee, while also appointing Adam King to fill a vacancy. DPW Director Richard Sullivan reported the department is down roughly one-third of its staff due to retirements and open positions.

Board member Anupam Sachdev pressed for immediate attention to Concord Road, described as 'probably one of the worst roads in town,' and the board directed DPW to include it in planning with intent to pave. The board deferred action on the XROADS Land's Sake data-collection project pending legal review of the agreement.
