Select Board calls April 6 special town meeting on senior cluster zoning

WESTON — February 27, 2020 — Weston Select Board calls April 6 special town meeting on senior cluster housing. Meeting in a brief single-item session Feb. 27, the board voted unanimously to call a special town meeting for 7 p.m. April 6 in the Town Hall Auditorium and to adopt and close the warrant in draft form. The warrant carries two articles: a proposed active adult residential cluster development zoning bylaw, and a concept plan for such a development at 255 Merriam St. and 11 Hallett Hill Road. The chair told viewers the meeting would be at Town Hall, "not the high school," and built the venue clarification into the motion itself. The board took no public comment and reopened no substantive debate, having "discussed the nitty-gritty" at prior sessions, before moving downstairs to join a Finance Committee discussion on OPEB.
