WESTON — December 10, 2024 — Weston Select Board chair publicly rebukes member over failed $43M water tank vote. Chair Tom opened the Dec. 10 meeting with a prepared critique of member Lise Revers, who opposed the water tank financing at the Dec. 4 Special Town Meeting where the article drew 61 percent support but failed the two-thirds threshold. Revers defended her vote, listed unanswered technical questions, and proposed a seven-member working group and third-party peer review. Member Lori Bent rejected the working group, saying she sees "no benefits aside from PR window dressing" and warning Wright Pierce could walk. The board separately adopted a residential factor of 1 setting the FY25 rate at $11.10 per thousand and unanimously reallocated the town's remaining $3.6 million ARPA balance before the Dec. 31 federal deadline, including $659,257.41 directed to the Weston road reconstruction program.
