WESTON — The Board of the Council on Aging approved prior meeting minutes and opened recruitment for officer positions. Chair Joan Heilbronner called for interest in leadership roles, with the slate to be presented in May and voted on in June; the board plans to continue its two co-Vice Chair structure held by Karin Ott and Christine Hayward. Board Members Brian Kardon and Susan Pauker will seek Select Board reappointment to second terms, while Member Paul Foley is stepping down at the end of his first term.
Program Director Sydney McNeil reported March participation jumped 384 sign-ins and 62 residents above the prior year, with the budget on track and MCOA grants expected to exhaust as planned. A liaison report on the School Building Committee indicated a feasibility study estimated at $750,000 to $2 million will likely be brought to a fall town meeting, with financing finalized by December 28, 2026.
