Board of the Council on Aging approves prior minutes; survey shows strong desire to stay.

WESTON — The Board of the Council on Aging approved prior minutes unanimously and reviewed survey results from 148 residents showing strong attachment to Weston and demand for expanded programming. Chair Joan Heilbronner reported that Director Stephanie Keane noted February participation increases of 40 sign-ins and 64 more participants compared to the prior year, with upcoming events including a Sandwich Generation Zoom program on April 16, square dancing on April 29, and a Health Resource Fair on May 29. The board discussed Land's Sake Vouchers, with 31 pledged donations and plans to reach at least 50 vouchers annually, and heard from Kit Diver, Friends of the Council on Aging President, that a tax integration opinion is expected by fiscal year end, allowing Friends to solicit stock donations and donor-advised funds.
