Weston ZBA Unanimously Approves Revised Driveway and Landscaping Plan for 7 French Road

WESTON — December 12, 2022 — Weston's Zoning Board of Appeals approved an amended special permit for 7 French Road on a 3-0 vote, resolving a protracted dispute over a driveway redesign and neighbor screening. Acting Chair Alan Rose and members Steve LaRock and Sujit Satoli adopted the amendment substantially as shown on engineer Bill Doyle's driveway plan dated November 20, 2022, and landscape designer Sarah Kish's planting plan dated November 12, 2022. The revised driveway narrows to roughly 10 feet, uses permeable pavement, and preserves an existing stone wall along the road frontage — addressing concerns raised by abutter Dr. Agnello of 11 French Road. The decision is conditioned on Agnello and applicant Mikhail Kuznetsov meeting with Kish to field-locate one to two additional screening trees on Agnello's property, plus one tree on the applicant's side, all within the applicable 25-foot wetlands no-disturb buffer and easement constraints.
