Weston ZBA Unanimously Allows Winter Street Special Permit Withdrawal

WESTON — January 31, 2023 — Weston ZBA allows special permit application for 225 Winter Street to be withdrawn without prejudice. The Zoning Board of Appeals voted 3-0 at its January 31 Zoom meeting to accept Cutting Edge Homes Inc.'s withdrawal of a new-home special permit request filed on behalf of property owners Amy and Corey Casilio at Map 55, Parcel 26. Chair Jane Carlson said the board received written notice from the applicant's representative ahead of the meeting with no explanation for the decision. Members Winifred Lee and Wendy Kaplan-Armor joined Carlson in the unanimous roll-call vote. Because the withdrawal was granted without prejudice, the applicants retain the right to refile, though Carlson noted the board would hold them to prior assurances that any future application would arrive fully prepared.
