Weston ZBA Extends 93 Concord Road Hearing, Demands Written Tree Protection Plan
WESTON — September 2, 2025 — Weston ZBA continues 93 Concord Road addition hearing to September 30 over unresolved tree protection dispute. The three-member panel — acting Chair Stephen J. Larocque, Associate Member Laura Mintz, and Associate Member Tristan Colangelo — voted unanimously to extend the special permit hearing after petitioner John Hadley and abutter Sheila of 91 Concord Road clashed over whether a recent arborist walkthrough had been adequately documented. Hadley agreed to add the abutter as an additional insured on his $5 million liability policy and to write a letter accepting responsibility for any tree damage, but resisted a funded escrow account. The board cleared several outstanding technical items, accepting the project's revised Residential Gross Floor Area figure of approximately 12.42 percent, with both Mintz and Colangelo noting the rear placement of the addition reduced its street-facing impact. The board directed Hadley to submit a fully annotated construction plan summarizing every abutter concern and its resolution before the September 30 session.
