Weston ZBA Adjourns 40B Hearing Over Juneteenth Holiday Scheduling Error

WESTON — June 20, 2022 — Weston ZBA adjourns 518 South Avenue 40B hearing immediately, rescheduling over Juneteenth observance. Chair Jane Carlson opened the June 20 session of the Zoning Board of Appeals only to apologize and move to continue, acknowledging she had not realized Massachusetts was observing Juneteenth on Monday after the holiday fell on a Sunday. The board — Carlson, Winifred Lee, and Acting Secretary Sujit Sithole — voted 3-0 to reconvene via Zoom at 8 p.m. June 21 and then voted 3-0 to adjourn, with a further date of June 27 floated as potentially necessary. The underlying application, filed by 518 South Avenue, LLC of Wayland, seeks a comprehensive permit under Chapter 40B for 200 rental units, 50 of them affordable, on approximately 9.54 acres at 510, 518, and 540 South Avenue.
