Weston Unified Plan Committee Elects New Chair, Eyes March Community Meeting
WESTON — February 26, 2025 — Weston's Unified Plan Committee unanimously elected Danielle Black as its new chair after the outgoing chair resigned from both the committee and the Planning Board, citing household changes. The committee then spent most of its February 26 meeting reviewing a draft slide presentation for a public community input session now set for Thursday, March 20, at 7 p.m., with members flagging readability problems in survey charts and debating how honestly to frame the near-final vision statement to residents. Member Nick pushed the group to distill the survey data into five or six clear themes before presenting the full six-paragraph vision text, warning the current draft "doesn't come out" as a clear synthesis. The committee settled on a Miro-based breakout exercise asking attendees to name one thing they would remove, keep, or add to the draft vision — a format members said would yield more useful feedback than an open-ended comment period. A preparatory UPC meeting is expected the week of March 17 before the public event.
