Weston Select Board unanimously backs Manor North elderly housing letter of intent

WESTON — September 23, 2025 — Weston Select Board backs non-binding letter of intent for 17-unit elderly housing project. The board voted unanimously Tuesday to authorize the letter for the Manor North project at 135 Boston Post Road, under which the town's Brooks School enterprise would enter a long-term master lease with property owner Bob Parsekian for 17 renovated elderly housing units at roughly $540,000 per year. Brooks School Commission Chair Tom Timko said all 17 units would be added to the Subsidized Housing Inventory and managed under the established Brooks School model, noting the facility has a multi-decade wait list of 150 to 200 households. Parsekian, who paid $4 million for the property in 2022, said the letter was required by his construction lender and was not a binding town commitment; a formal master lease would require town meeting approval. The board also voted unanimously to support House Bill 2274 on remote town meeting participation and to appoint Jennifer Millen as parkland representative to the Community Preservation Committee.
