WESTON — March 28, 2025 — Weston Select Board unanimously approved the FY26 budget and set the annual town meeting warrant at its March 25 meeting. Town Manager Leon Gaumond, summarizing both the March 25 regular session and a March 26 water tank planning meeting in a Select Board Rewind episode, said the board directed him to begin negotiations with the Weston Observer — a newspaper in formation — over use of the Fisk Law Office space after it was the sole bidder. The board voted a second time to submit a Massachusetts School Building Authority statement of interest for a high school and middle school master plan, announced a Planning Board vacancy after elected member Lori Hess moved out of the country, and agreed to establish an Open Space and Recreation Plan working group with four open seats. On the water side, engineering firm Wright-Pierce outlined design activities for the tank project recently approved by town meeting, and Weston and Sampson was introduced as the incoming owner's project manager.
