Weston Select Board finalizes Dec. 3 town meeting warrant

WESTON — October 22, 2024 — Weston Select Board locks in Dec. 3 warrant headlined by water tanks and MBTA 3A. Town Manager Leon Gaumond said the Oct. 22 remote meeting placed a three-article water tank package — funding, a height-related zoning bylaw amendment and a land swap — on the warrant, alongside the town's MBTA Communities Section 3A compliance plan and a conveyance of the town-owned Zero Hobbs Brook parcel near the Granite Brook materials site. A planning board ADU article and a Unified Planning Committee funding request also advanced. The consent calendar will carry a fiscal 2025 budget fix, three CPC articles (a Cherry Brook cricket pitch, an Open Space and Recreation Plan update, and Weston Historical Commission fees) and a fourth Affordable Housing Trust Home Repair Grant round. The board unanimously appointed Alan Day to the Cultural Council, named Chair Lise N. Revers liaison to the high school/middle school building project, and accepted a $5,000 donation to the Weston Police Department.
