Weston Select Board approves Land's Sake infrastructure plan, waives permitting fees

WESTON — May 11, 2021 — Weston Select Board greenlights Land's Sake build-out and splits Liberty Mutual zoning to save the life-science vote. The board voted 3-0 to approve Land's Sake Farm's three-year, multi-building infrastructure plan, waive town permitting fees, and execute a May 11 resolution, after architect Kevin Sullivan of Payette walked through grass-paver parking expanding from 30 to 60 spaces, bird-safe fritted glass, dark-sky lighting, on-site battery storage in lieu of an emergency generator and a possible reuse of the existing Boston Post Road barn. Member Harvey Boswell, calling the proposed Liberty Mutual life-science rezoning "a home run for the town," said the working group will recommend Town Meeting pass over Articles 30 and 32 — the transit-oriented residential overlay items — and advance Articles 31 and 33, with any future housing on the land-swap parcel capped at 20 units by development agreement. The board also appointed Ann Weedy to the Pay-As-You-Throw Implementation Working Group, targeting an Oct. 1 launch, and seated Nicole Seddon and Carol Lee on the Tree Advisory Group.
