Weston Planning Board closes Concord Road hearing, advances Willard Road subdivision
WESTON — July 16, 2025 — Weston Planning Board closes a scenic road hearing, advances a two-lot subdivision, and reviews water tank designs at its last meeting before a month-long recess. Chair Leslie Glynn led the three-member quorum — also including members Jing Yu and Alex Selvig — through a packed agenda on July 16. The board unanimously closed the hearing for 473 Concord Road, a renovation requiring a relocated driveway and new on-site septic, and discussed holding a late-July special meeting to issue the decision before September so the applicant family can begin work. On the MBTA 3A multifamily front, Town Planner Emai Aiu reported the Riverside district has been scaled back from roughly 240 units to 75, while two newly added districts — 751 Boston Post Road at 103 units and Merriam Village at 101 units — absorb the reduction. Wright Pierce engineer Rob presented a 30-percent design set for three water storage tank replacements at Payne's Hill, Cat Rock, and Doublet Hill, with rough sizing of three-quarters of a million gallons each for the two composite elevated tanks and 1.2 million gallons active volume for the concrete standpipe; the board agreed to submit written comments by July 30 to keep the project on schedule. A two-lot flex subdivision at 51 Willard Road was continued to September 3, as only three of the required four members for a special permit were present.
