Weston names owner's project manager for water tank replacement project
WESTON — March 26, 2025 — Weston selects its only applicant as owner's project manager for the town's water tank replacement project. The Water Tank Working Group voted to adjourn after introducing Weston & Sampson Engineers — the sole respondent to the town's request for qualifications — as the new owner's project manager, with Matthew Connors of the firm attending his first working group session to begin absorbing project materials. Town Manager Leon Goent said the firm came "highly recommended" by members of the engineering community. Right Pierce engineers Rob Williamson and Amy Coppers reported the environmental notification form required by the Massachusetts Environmental Policy Act is roughly 90 percent complete, with submission anticipated in three to four months and a MEPA certificate to proceed expected eight to nine months after that. The group identified population demand projections as the critical-path item controlling final tank sizes and set its next meeting for April 9 at 8:30 a.m. to review Weston & Sampson's formal scope-of-services proposal.
