Weston CPC clears spring meeting minutes backlog, eyes September application deadline
WESTON — August 19, 2024 — Weston Community Preservation Committee approves four sets of overdue meeting minutes at brief August session. Chair Glenn Butcher presided over the August 19 Zoom meeting, where members voted unanimously on minutes from January 29, February 5, and February 12, with a fourth vote on the July 9 strategy meeting delayed briefly when member William "Bill" Connolly lost his internet connection during a home power outage before rejoining to provide the deciding vote; members Nathalie Thompson and Steven Wagner abstained from that vote, citing non-attendance at the July meeting. Staff liaison Leon reported no formal applications received ahead of the September 10 Community Preservation Act funding deadline, though several community groups have made inquiries. Four review meeting dates are tentatively set for September 16, September 30, October 7, and October 14.
