WESTON — Community Preservation Committee advances three projects in preliminary review. Chair Glenn Butcher and six members heard presentations on Brook School Building A Lower Floor Renovations ($1 million for two elderly housing units at 80 percent AMI), Field 1 Lights at the high school ($400,000 sought from CPC, with recreation commission pledging at least $125,000 private fundraising), and design fees for a Burchard Park playground ($50,000). All three projects move to a public hearing February 23.
Butcher also proposed an April meeting to revisit strategic planning output and align CPC messaging before town meeting, citing need to educate the broader public on the committee's role and available funding.
