Conservation Commission issues four septic determinations, approves two trail moves

WESTON — December 14, 2021 — Conservation Commission clears nine items in year-end meeting, including trail moves and a tree-cutting violation. Acting chair Joe Berman led a four-member panel through negative determinations on four septic-replacement RDAs — at 266 North Avenue, 32 Pigeon Hill Road, 7 Clifford Lane and 390 Highland Street — plus a closed-and-conditioned notice of intent at 56 Bullard Road presented by Joe Lasano of DGT Associates. Partial certificates of compliance were granted for 128 Rockport Road and 137 Sherburne Circle. Homeowner Barbara Gold pressed for a full certificate to clear a title flag before the spring market; Berman declined, saying the partial "should not really interfere in a material way with your ability to sell your property." The commission also approved relocating trails off 154 Church Street and 156 Highland Street, the latter on a 3-0-1 vote with Berman abstaining. A notice of violation at 23 Windsor Way for unpermitted hazard-tree removal will be resolved with up to two replacement saplings or four native shrubs.
