Conservation Commission approves post-fire Glen Road rebuild in first remote meeting

WESTON -- March 17, 2020, Weston Conservation Commission clears post-fire rebuild at 512 Glen Road in first remote meeting. Chair Reese Tulloss presided as the commission, meeting under Gov. Charlie Baker's March 12 emergency order, voted unanimously to issue an order of conditions for owner Farzeen Kiani to demolish a fire-damaged house and rebuild on roughly the same footprint, with engineer Kevin O'Leary's stormwater design and a 2,700-square-foot riverfront mitigation planting prepared by landscape architect Karen Sebastian of Jillson Co. The commission also issued negative determinations of applicability for landscaping at 21 Spring Road and an after-the-fact filing at 57 Lexington St. Members voted to end an "archaic" policy requiring all commissioners to sign every bill and approved $4,200 to remove two hazard pines on conservation land near 423 Concord Road. A Mass Audubon presentation on the draft Case Estates Ecological Management Plan was deferred; written comments are due March 31.
