Weston ZBA unanimously approves special permit for 2 Legion Road addition
WESTON — February 27, 2024 — Weston ZBA unanimously approves second-story addition at 2 Legion Road. The Zoning Board of Appeals voted 3-0 Tuesday to grant a special permit for a 595-square-foot expansion of a pre-existing non-conforming home inside the 75-foot front-yard setback. Architect Rob Passione told the board the project adds a master suite above an existing sun room and a by-right guest suite over existing footprint, with no new impervious area; the Conservation Commission has already issued an order of conditions. Chair Jane Carlson noted RGFA rises from 7.1 percent to 8.4 percent of lot area, "a little high" but "not totally out of line" with the 8.2 percent at 151 Lexington Street. Three Legion Road neighbors — Pam Riffin, Lisa Green and Pamela Foster — spoke in support, asking only that exterior lighting be shielded. Owner Ali Munawar said his family hopes to move in by late summer.
