Planning Board sends Drabbington Inn rezoning to spring Town Meeting
WESTON — February 28, 2024 — Weston Planning Board advances Drabbington Inn rezoning and $40,000 Town Green tree plan. The board voted 4-0 with Vice Chair Alex Selvig abstaining to send a warrant article to spring Town Meeting allowing age-restricted multifamily housing of up to 20 units, by site plan approval, in residential districts — written to enable reuse of the historic Drabbington Inn. Owner Bob Parsekian said the 27-space site would yield one parking space per unit. Abutter Natalie, at 146 North Ave., warned of "40 headlights or even 80" shining toward her home. Members also unanimously endorsed Tree Advisory Group presenter Carol Lee's $40,000 Community Preservation Committee request for a Town Green succession plan, approved a 67 Brook Road second-floor addition and a Chase Bank site plan, and closed the high school tennis court resurfacing hearing pending a March 20 decision.
