Weston ZBA unanimously approves Riverside Road life sciences campus conversion
WESTON — April 11, 2022 — Weston ZBA clears former Liberty Mutual campus for life sciences conversion in unanimous votes. The Zoning Board of Appeals voted 3-0 on each of two companion applications Monday night, granting special permits to Greatland Realty Partners LLC to convert the long-vacant office complex at 9, 15, and 20 Riverside Road into a laboratory and research and development campus with up to 825 parking spaces. Acting Chair Alan Rose, citing the project's town-meeting zoning approval from May 2021 and the Planning Board's March 16, 2022 site plan decision, said he saw "not much change here from what currently exists" and was "comfortable granting a special permit." Director of Development Terry Ford said building 20 renovation could begin as soon as May, with first occupancy targeted for early 2024. A separate 3-0 vote granted a special permit for a residential tennis court at 16 Woodchester Drive, with the applicants' landscaping plan incorporated as a condition.
