Weston ZBA Continues Winter Street Special Permit Hearing to January 31

WESTON — January 11, 2023 — Weston ZBA delays Winter Street special permit hearing, awaits client sign-off on Board of Health revisions. The three-member Zoning Board of Appeals — Chair Jane Carlson, Winifred Lee, and Wendy Kaplan-Armor — voted 3-0 at its January 11 meeting to continue a special permit hearing for a new home at 225 Winter Street, requested by Cutting Edge Homes, Inc. on behalf of Amy and Corey Casilio, to January 31 at 7 p.m. via Zoom. The applicant's representative told the board the project team had not yet received formal client approval for minor Board of Health-requested changes, promising revised materials by January 20 and saying, "I really do appreciate and value your time as volunteers." The board also directed ZBA assistant Valerie Geary to consult town counsel on whether remote-meeting authority under Chapter 107 of the Acts of 2022 — understood to expire in March 2023 — could be extended or independently preserved.
