WESTON — August 24, 2021 — Weston ZBA delays 200-unit 40B hearing after applicant concedes modeling error. The Zoning Board of Appeals voted 3-0 Tuesday to continue the 518 South Ave. comprehensive permit hearing to Oct. 13 and to extend the 180-day clock through Nov. 30, after applicant Jonathan Buckman disclosed a "human error" in the project's stormwater and wastewater modeling that may force a partial redesign and reduce the 200-unit, 50-affordable-unit count on the 9.54-acre site. Town Counsel John Whitten of KP Law urged an extension into January, warning incremental extensions are "not fair to the board or the public." Member Winifred Lee said she felt "nickel and dimed"; Acting Secretary Sujit Sitholey questioned the piecemeal approach. Buckman, citing the absence of Hanover Company counsel, declined to go beyond two months.
