Conservation Commission denies 95 Newton Street compliance certificate without prejudice

WESTON — August 24, 2021 — Weston Conservation Commission denies compliance certificate on 95 Newton Street without prejudice. The 5-0 vote keeps DEP order 337-1242 enforceable while a superseding order on a second permit, 337-1373, works through DEP. Chair Joe Berman said he spent roughly two hours on the file and concluded the applicant had "just started" trying to comply, calling the request "premature." Member Rees Tulloss called the analysis "an excellent assessment," noting it preserves leverage over a permit otherwise outside town jurisdiction. The commission also closed notices of intent at 520-528 Glen Road (DEP 337-1417), 200 Lexington Street, 21 Sanderson Road (DEP 337-1414) and 694 Boston Post Road; extended a 256 South Avenue septic order one year to Oct. 31, 2022; issued partial and final certificates at 31 Jericho Road and 32 Rockport Road; and approved Boy Scout Teddy Glazer's Eagle Scout proposal to install two benches at French's Field in the Jericho Town Forest.
